accessories we provide to help complete your kit
We upgraded our bonnet catch system to utilise these rather smart flush fit items that provide positive confirmation that the vehicles bonnet is secured as the 'open' flaps are easily visible from the drivers seat.
Windscreen Wiper Mechanism
Our new Wiper mechanism is built specifically for our Dakar & Hibak vehicles and provides a bolt in solution to smooth and accurate sweeps of your glass.
Contoured side steps
New fibre glass side step panels - embossed with Dakar 4x4 logo and with raised bar grips - available in black or colour coded to match your body shell colour.
Aluminium fuel tank
A new Aluminium fuel tank with threaded fuel pump/level sensor fitment that accepts the standard Land Rover Discovery sender/pump.
Re-designed wheel arch extensions
New
front and rear wheel arch extensions with recessed mounting points for a secure
fit and a rugged look.
Filling the gap on the front of the Dakar, this gel coloured fibre glass panel provides a flush fitting grille that protects the radiator whilst allowing sufficient ventilation for engine cooling.
"Air-Con" Front Radiator Grille Panel
This
is a development of the standard Dakar radiator grille that is designed to
provide an additional 60mm of space in order to accommodate an Air Conditioning
condensor, a large intercooler or indeed both. It bolts to the front of the
Dakar bodyshell and is available with or without the additional black vents
shown here.
Dash trim panel
A pre cut trim section to bridge the gap between the back of the dashboard and the windscreen, available with optional speakers as shown opposite.
Aero style fuel filler cap
An alloy flush fitting fuel cap and fitting kit, includes flexible aviation specification filler pipe, sealing clamps and all fixings.
A Subaru styled air scoop supplied with sealent in a satin black finish, other colours available via special order.
Leather re-trimming of donor seats
We provide a re-trim service for the original donor vehicles seats, available in Leather or Cloth and with a choice of colours and pipework highlights.
Rear brake, side & indicator lights
Land Rover Defender style rear lights are available for Brake, side, indicator, fog and reverse. Utilising standard Land Rover units ensures widespread availability of replacement lens and housings, should they ever be damaged.
Side repeaters
Side repeater lights are available with a smoked grey finish lens cover. A mesh grille vent is included and can be used for additional ventilation or left blanked off for decoration. Please note, these are not suitable if wheel arch extensions have been fitted.
Fibre glass rear floor section
The replacement rear floor takes the place of the donor vehicles rear foot wells and extends to the back of the Dakar's bodywork as well as out to the wheel arches supplied in the Base kit. It's a single piece item and can be fitted in lieu of the customers own floor.
Fibre glass side panel trims
These custom made side panels are available in either the standard black or colour coded to your Dakar's body shell. They are formed to fit over the lower roll cage panels and come in pairs, supplied with a fitting kit and bonding agent.
Custom stainless fuel tank
This stainless steel fuel tank has been developed specifically to match the internal contours of the Dakar and maximise fuel capacity without imposing into the interior space. It also accepts the standard donor vehicles fuel gauge sender & in-tank fuel pump units.
Under seat Battery box
This battery box is made from 2.5mm steel and is designed to allow the vehicles battery to be re-located to under the passenger seat, both battery & connections remain accessible when the seat is slid fully backwards.
