Customers V8 Dakar 4x4 for-sale

 We built this Dakar to order for a customer Based on a Range Rover Vogue 3.5 V8 automatic. It was completed in April 2005 and you can see details of it's conversion (F100 FBU - G4 Themed Dakar) in our Portfolio. It's is fully specified with soft top, doors and side steps.

Our latest Discovery 300 Tdi demonstrator vehicle

Completed in April 2006, our new demonstrator has proven what fantastic donor vehicles Land Rover Discovery's make, but now we've done it, it's time to concentrate on another, so this very high specification vehicle is now for-sale.  If you've followed this vehicles build in our portfolio you will already know it features the new Mk II bonnet with optional bonnet scoop and the latest wheel arch extensions. The air con radiator & fans sit behind the new grille and swept back nudge bar.
 

Being based on a 1996 300 Tdi model Discovery, the specification of this Dakar includes air conditioning, cruise control, an automatic 4 speed ZF gearbox, Electric heated mirrors, Stereo CD/Radio, walnut trim dash, Land Rover factory fit alarm. We have given the engine a full service and engine timing is controlled with a new, genuine Land Rover cam belt upgrade kit.
 

To accommodate the Discovery donor this vehicle features a 2" body lift built into the Dakar roll cage and a further 2" lift from the suspension. We've fitted this vehicle with 10inch deep black steel wheels on 33" BF Goodrich tyres, Soft top and doors, side steps, front and rear nudge bars with mounting points for a high lift jack on the rear, together with high lift jack. Full set of spot and fog lights, with additional rear work lights.
 

As part of the off road preparation the Dakar has a new rear winch tray with integral tow bar mount fitted. Underside protection is provided by a steering guard and rear differential guard. Our new snorkel and integral air filter top is also fitted to provide cleaner, cooler air to the engine, as well as a degree of protection when wading.

The Discovery interior really brings the Dakar into the 21st century with it's ergonomic layout. This vehicles interior is in mint condition and has been re-trimmed professionally. Tinted windows, in keeping with the donor vehicles specifications have been fitted. 
 

Rear passengers have custom re-trimmed rear seats to sit on and four point harnesses to keep them sitting on it! Interior is fully sound deadened and carpeted.
 

Stunning Metallic Blue demonstrator vehicle

This vehicle was built 3 years ago as our first demonstrator vehicle and is now being advertised on behalf of a customer.

Built on a D registered Range Rover this Dakar was highly specified in order to fulfil it's role as a demonstrator. It is fitted with our solid door kit, soft top, full Yamaha R1 Blue paint finish, chequer plate side steps and sill protectors, mud flaps, custom stainless fuel tank with aero style fuel filler, 10" wide wheels and 33x12.5x15 BF Goodrich Mud terrain tyres.

The original 3.5 litre Range Rover V8 engine has been replaced with a later model 3.9 V8 with it's Bosch Hot wire fuel injection system. This is mated to the ZF 4 speed automatic gearbox that was fully serviced during the original build. The engine bay has been fully and professionally rewired. 

Although more than capable off road, the vehicle has been used mostly on road.

'Suzi' the 4x4 Rotrax Suzuki

This is one of only a few Suzuki based Rotrax kits ever built. Utilising a professionally modified Rotrax body shell over a custom roll cage the vehicle has been built to the highest standards by Dakar 4x4 Designs and Conversions as a company demonstrator.

Suzi was built in March 2004 onto a 1998 (R Registraion) Suzuki Vitara 4x4 donor vehicle with 1600 8v multi point injection engine. Being a company demonstrator this Suzuki Rotrax 4x4 comes with all available accessories i.e. mud catchers, bonnet scoop, front grill, LED back lights, tow bar, side steps,  front and rear bull bars.

The Vehicle has covered 41310 miles and has been fully serviced. It is fitted as standard with power steering, air conditioning, tinted glass, full removable weather gear and hard doors. It is running on new 31 inch mud terrain tyres mounted onto silver eight spoke wheels.

Suzi's interior is fully trimmed and she comes with a complete stereo sound system with amps and subs mounted in the rear. Both driver and passenger seats have four point harnesses secured  back to the roll cage.

Suzi is currently a two seater, but provision has been made for rear seating with seat belts so included in the sale price is the option to have these rear seats fitted.
