Dakar kits
Basic components of the Dakar 4x4

Roll cage & fixings

 The base kit includes the main one piece roll cage complete with rear seatbelt mounts and earthing points for rear electrics. A pair of side frames to support the cage from the donor's chassis out riggers, available in standard and +2" lift versions (lifted version is compulsory to suit Discovery 300 series donors). Spare wheel mount, rear fibre glass inner wheel arches and all the necessary bolts & brackets to connect it together. The cage can be primed and painted prior to being supplied if requested.

Body shell & Bonnet

 The main Dakar body shell is also part of the base kit and is a single piece unstressed moulded fibre glass unit, available in a gel coat solid colour of your choice. The bonnet shown here is the standard unit, additional vents and air scoops to suit your engine choice are available as optional extras.

Common requirements to compliment the basic kit

Solid Doors

 All year round weather protection is available with the solid door kit. Manufactured from Fibre glass and with a colour coded Gel coat finish, the kit comprises of four doors, a pair of 'A' and 'B' posts. Both post sets are permanently fitted to the Dakar and the doors simply drop onto and lift off the hinges in seconds. All four doors are Glazed with perspex in either a clear or smoke finish or if required available in a half height open top configuration.

Soft Top

Our vinyl soft top compliments our solid door kit to keep you snug and dry inside the Dakar. Rear visibility is maintained with a clear plastic window in the rear section, when not required it can be un popped, rolled up and stored behind the seats.

Two Piece Hard Top

Further enhance your Dakar's all year round weather protection with the addition of a removable two piece hard top. Made from fibreglass in your choice of external and internal colours to suit your vehicle. Standard fitment includes a single Perspex window in the rear section and a fitting kit. This item is fully compatible with the Solid door option shown above and can be used complete or with the rear most roof section removed. It is light and can easily be fitted and removed by just one person.

Standard rear nudge bar

 Substantial rear end protection with the triple bar rear bumper that incorporates chassis end caps.
 

Custom nudge bars

 If you require something different we can design and build custom nudge bars to suit. Typical customisations include bigger heavy duty tube work, wider 'winch friendly' uprights, lifted mounts and alternate light positioning.
